IBM SmartCamp Brazil is being held in conjunction with the IBM Venture Capital Symposium. The events will bring together entrepreneurs, investors, representatives from universities and IBM executives, who will discuss business opportunities for companies that develop solutions that contribute to the daily life of cities and the country’s development.
The announcement was made at an IBM forum on U.S. economic competitiveness in the 21st century, exploring how private sector innovations and investment can be more easily shared in the public domain.
“One of the most effective ways to reduce crime in cities is to apply analytics technology to public safety to identify crime patterns,” said Mark Cleverley, Director, IBM Global Public Safety. “Law enforcement is able to gain valuable insight and focus resources on proactive policing efforts to improve citizen services.”
