Symantec believes the role of technology companies in protecting human rights, especially privacy and freedom of expression is important. In Fiscal Year 2010, Symantec completed a review of existing supply chain management practices and also published our first human rights policy.
The theme of this year’s DI2E conference is “Converging the Enterprise”. The DI2E is the logical integration of the successes of the Distributed Common Ground/Surface System (DCGS) and Joint Intelligence Operations Center (JIOC) Enterprises to support our defense, national, and international partners with all-source intelligence and counterintelligence.
GAAP deferred revenue as of Dec. 31, 2010, was $3.408 billion compared with $3.049 billion as of Jan. 1, 2010, up 12 percent year-over-year on an actual and currency-adjusted basis. Cash flow from operating activities for the third quarter of fiscal year 2011 was $460 million compared with $393 million for the same quarter last year, an increase of 17 percent. Symantec ended the quarter with cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments of $2.452 billion.
