Several inventors outside of Microsoft are using Kinect to develop applications for medical uses. One example is Tedesys, a technology startup in Cantebria, Spain, that is working on an application that will let doctors use the sensor while operating on patients, says Jesus Perez, the company’s chief operating officer.
HP today announced it has acquired Hiflex Software GmbH, a privately held global software solutions provider specializing in web-to-print and management information systems solutions for printing services. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
