HMC prototypes, for example, clock in with bandwidth of 128 gigabytes per second (GB/s). By comparison, current state-of-the-art devices deliver 12.8 GB/s. HMC also requires 70 percent less energy to transfer data while offering a small form factor — just 10 percent of the footprint of conventional memory.
Development of Near Field Communication (NFC) technologies. This project is aimed at the creation of security-rich and customizable mobile payment transactions for use across a number of industries including telco, retail and banking. IBM is also donating predictive analytics software, curriculum case studies and guest lecturers.
These new and enhanced capabilities will be offered as part of six subscription services that feed results from firewall logs, intrusion detection and prevention events and vulnerability scans into the X-Force Protection System and its cloud-based analytic engine.
